Partnership Questionnaire
The Children and Young Peoples' Strategic Partnership is currently considering the breadth of the partnership structure that operates around 0-19 services in Reading. The CYPSP is particularly keen to ensure that time, resource and expertise is used effectively and that good communication is prioritised.
In turn, the CYPSP Secretariat is also very conscious that there will be a number of services or initiatives that will need to be considered for mainstreaming in the near future.
In order to inform these discussions and future planning we would appreciate it if your partnership could take the time to respond to the questions outlined in the two documents enclosed with this letter. The CYPSP Secretariat will be meeting in early February to discuss this feedback and to determine the strategic priorities for the group in 05/06. We would therefore appreciate responses to this questionnaire by Friday 28th January.
Please let me know if you have any difficulties with this timeframe or any broader questions or concerns.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Andrea King

Partnership Structure Questionnaire
Context:
The Children and Young Peoples' Strategic Partnership is currently considering the breadth of the partnership structure that operates around 0-19 services in Reading. The CYPSP is particularly keen to ensure that time, resource and expertise is used effectively and that good communication is prioritised.
In order to inform this discussion and to influence any future developments, we would appreciate it if you could respond to the following questions on behalf of your respective partnership.
Roles and Responsibilities:
What do you consider the role and the remit of the CYPSP Secretariat and CYPSP Board to be?
Does your partnership:
Provide regular reports to the CYPSP?
Have a nominated representative on the CYPSP?
Report to other partnership boards? If so which e.g. CDRP?
Are the respective roles and responsibilities of the CYPSP and your partnership board clearly defined? Which areas of responsibility or specific decisions, if any, would you consult with the CYPSP about?
Communication:
Do you feel informed about the strategic direction of the CYPSP?
What communication mechanisms are in place (e.g joint representation, reporting functions)? Could these be improved or supported more fully?
Have you any suggestions for new or different ways to improve communication?
Efficient use of resource:
In order to use peoples' time most effectively it may be appropriate to merge some partnership boards around common themes, interests (including age ranges) or approaches to delivery.
Do you have any particular views on this, or suggestions about how this could be approached?
How could the current partnership structure (see attached) be improved?
